- AuckPac Health Trust Board
is a primary health organisation (“PHO”) which was established on 1 April 2003.
- A PHO delivers primary health care services to communities through GP
practices.
- AuckPac is a Pacific-led PHO which is based in the Auckland District
Health Board region and its members include 6 GP clinics and 1 regional
public health provider.
- These members are located in:
- Avondale
- East Bay & Glen Innes
- Mt Roskill
- Mt Wellington
- Otahuhu
- Panmure
- The public health provider is located in Glen Innes.
AuckPac Goals
As the first Pacific Primary Health Organisation in the Auckland
District Health Board Region, AuckPac aims to:
- Reduce inequalities in accessing health at a reasonable cost,
for enrolled and non enrolled Pacific and high health needs
population;
- Improve the co-ordination of provider organisations that are
members of AuckPac to deliver more responsive and effective health
care services to the enrolled population it serves;
- Engage and empower the community by responding to their needs
in a culturally sensitive and effective manner, with particular
focus on those who are disadvantaged or at risk,
- Work closely with the ADHB who will provide support to identify
key health priorities based on the needs of the targeted
constituents;
- Achieve financial sustainability by meeting financial targets
and fulfilling various contractual obligations.
